Mentor Denton has the crazy idea that 10,000 of our citizens are willing to spend an hour a week to make sure no Denton kid falls through the cracks. Learn more about the ways you can help:

 

Be a SCHOOL-BASED MENTOR with Communities In Schools North Texas.

  • Description: Mentoring takes place at their school.
  • Commitment: One hour a week, one school year.
  • Availability: Weekdays - before, during, or after school (7am-6pm)

Be a COMMUNITY-BASED MENTOR with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

  • Description: Mentoring not restricted to school.
  • Commitment: At least one hour a week, at least one school year.
  • Availability: Flexible days and hours.

Volunteer to be part of the Denton ISD HUMAN LIBRARY                      

  • Description: Volunteer when needed when schools call out for help.
  • Commitment: No long-term commitment, sign up when available.
  • Availability: Varies depending on need.

  • Description: Mentoring takes place at the school office or workroom. 
  • Commitment: Depends on the task/mentor activity
  • Availability: Varies depending on need/school program
